Network4 has released its 2026 Election Manifesto, calling on all political parties to support five priorities for a stronger, more sustainable primary care system.
Network4 brings together Pegasus Health, Pinnacle, ProCare and Tū Ora Compass Health. Together, the four PHOs support around 350 general practices and more than 1.8 million enrolled New Zealanders.
The joint manifesto reflects many of the issues our own network told us matter most. In our recent manifesto survey, members strongly backed the need for long-term commitment to primary care, sustainable funding, workforce support, better-connected care and practical use of technology to improve care and reduce administrative burden.
The five priorities in the manifesto are:
a bipartisan 10-year strategy for primary care
sustainable funding that reflects the true cost of care
a strong and sustainable primary care workforce
more healthcare delivered closer to home
nationally connected digital health systems that improve care and reduce administrative burden.
